Witherspoon Street office, Paisleymore informationThe new four storey office building follows the curved edge of the site, facing north and bordering three streets with a wrapping glass facade. To the rear, facing south, the building edge adopts a more angular form with a solid, brightly coloured, rendered wall punctured by large windows. The transitional edges between the north and south elevations are softened with changing window patterns resembling musical notation. A spectaular penthouse office occupies the fourth floor and is set back from the front wall edge and is surrounded by a private roof-top garden. All offices benefit from the use of a common meeting office at first floor level which is partially cantilevered over the pavement edge - a window of commerce. At night time the window of this meeting room can be used for signage or information by utilising back projection. |
