Once a busy local garage, this housing design utilises a land locked site behind a converted grand Victorian townhouse. Five new townhouses, with private gardens or balconies sit discretely between the surrounding sites with windows carefully located to prevent overlooking and retain privacy. The main block is split into two using a vertical access stair/slot to the upper two houses. This slot is brightly coloured with glass tiles in contrast to the external wall edge that is smooth white render, similar to the existing townhouse. Completely modern and clean these houses are built in the mews tradition and are almost secretly hidden away from the bustle of the city outside.
