Adjacent to our social work offices, Orr Street, Glasgow project, where we integrated social work and community facilities into the halls, this new housing scheme completes the city block. Parallel to the street edge facing east and overlooking an existing playing field, the elevation is a closed bedroom wall that folds up and down in shades of blue with small windows benefiting from views to the morning sun. To the west, the living spaces have alternating balconies, large windows and a soft timber facade that overlook the new tranquil sensory garden. The apparently random facades are actually repetitive and proportioned according to the spaces and uses within the building.
