To the north there is a private driveway and to the south a secluded walled garden, almost a miniature of the neighbouring properties. A large open-plan kitchen/living area is partially divided by a small timber snug set into the plan; an escape for private retreat. Inspired by traditional Scottish vernacular this house is modest in scale, echoes the surrounding architecture, is restrained in its use of materials and will, like many of our designs, appear to have been here for some time.
