Deep within the National Park forest at Dunkeld, looking north across the valley, a popular existing viewpoint needs more sound footing, a sheltered meeting point for groups of school kids or walkers and protection from the sheer drops on two sides. Our design, constructed in local forest timber, lifts the visitor off of the dirt track, gradually ramping up to get a slightly higher view over the tree canopy. Arriving at the end of the ramp the landing terminates with a covered stepped seating platform that looks north up the valley and lends itself to being an open lecture/talk/teaching space.
