Jewellery shop, Troon, Ayrshire
more information
A project to examine an existing shop to maximise the use of space developed into an entirely new shop immediately beside the existing. No longer able to accomodate all the goods within the existing shell, the new shop almost doubled the space available. The new space was developed as a light, bright volume with high quality finishes and a delicate lighting scheme. Beautifully crafted oak cabinets were introduced to display and hold the many different objects on sale. Our approach was to create a consistent and connected appearance where the objects within the cabinets become accentuated. The oak cabinets for display were developed as clear objects with a ‘tree’ in the window, a ‘cloud’ in the central space and ‘floating’ jewellery boxes around the walls.
